In 2010, I launched a musical project for the independent music scene and produced the LP. Mox (means the moss in English) belongs to the hauntological movement in contemporary art.
The cover design, identity, music, lyrics, music performance, and post-production was made at my home studio. Album was warmly accepted by critics and included in the specialized charts of the best Russian-language albums of the decade.
The logo follows the ancient tradition of lettering in handwritten Slavic books, in which the weirdest imagination and bizarre ingenuity were always manifested.
A bomb pit from World War II was used to take the cover photo. The actor was sitting down in the pit holding a hula hoop covered with plastic, on which moss was laid to merge with the moss on the ground. At the center, it was a hole for actor's head.
The levitation scene for the back was assembled from a sequence of photographs, where the participants in the performers alternately lifted each other.
