I received a task from Škoda to create the visual communication for the off-road racing event. To convey the spirit of fast extreme movement through the wild combined with romance and comfort, I turned to the spirit of Native Americans.
The Czech diacritical mark ˇ above the first letter Š in the Skoda logo immediately reminded me of Native American headwear. I moved forward with that form and got the ornamental motive that acquired an intriguing perspective.
Based on the result of formal studies, I came to the creation of key blocks from which form various functional compositions.
The pattern is marking the territory and also serves as a road landmark on the wild ground. In that work, we created the visual tool for use in advertising, pavilion, camping design, and merch production.
